Cabeza Copitas
Extremely rare and hard to obtain, these artisan ornamental copitas are handmade in a remote village outside Oaxaca, Mexico. Formed from red clay with an unglazed finish, they are inspired by the rough beauty of the San Marcos pottery tradition and are perfect for sipping mezcal.
The artisans only make a certain amount per year, making these copitas truly incredible. Facial features vary slightly from piece to piece, and all are signed on the bottom with the name of the maker. These unique copitas are crafted using traditional methods, and as such are not chemically sealed. To enjoy traditionally, simply soak the glasses in water before use to prevent seeping or stickiness before drinking.
No two pieces are the same, and copitas are sold individually.
