This bracelet is MAAARI's take on reinterpreting the Linglingo shape as an androgynous bangle. An ancestral amulet, the Linglingo is an ancient Philippine symbol for fertility and virility. Traditionally round, with an opening on one side,  the shape resembles the female uterus and the negative space, the head of a penis—illustrating the perfect union of male and female energies. ‘Linglingo’ means “lingo that serves the act of creation”,  “lingo that issues the thought of manifestation”, “lingo that conjures the power to bring forth”.
